Bring Generation Women to your city.

We are looking for tenacious and enthusiastic teams of two (or three) to produce Generation Women shows in cities all around the world.

Our ideal partners have event production experience, are connected to a wide array of potential storytellers, are truly committed to diversity and anti-ageism, and have time and energy for a side gig. A pop-up show takes approximately 30-40 hours, soup to nuts, to create and execute. Once you’re in a flow, expect to spend 20 hours a month on Generation Women.

Our ideal cities have large enough populations to sustain a monthly series, in terms of both talent and audience.

Our show is a monthly series, but we start all relationships with a one-off pop-up. We operate as a franchise: you have access to all our design and IP, processes and language, and we work with you advising on all aspects. You cast and market the show, edit the stories and communicate with talent, and run the night. Our fee is a percentage of your net profit.

While we start with a pop-up, we want to hear from teams interested in an ongoing monthly show. We can work with you to help divvy up roles/responsibilities, but generally we advise creating a team that has complementary skill sets and shared communication styles. Interestingly, both the US and Sydney teams didn’t know each other personally before starting to work together.

Additional details

Casting: Our shows always feature a performer in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s+. At least two performers are of color. At least one performer is LGBTQIA+. The line-ups are diverse as far as background, occupation, faith, and gender expression: we welcome trans women and nonbinary performers. This is non-negotiable.

Venues: Our ideal venue is small to mid-sized, with seats.
